BWY Foundation Course 1

If you have a love of yoga and are curious to learn more, then the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course 1 may be perfect for you. 

The course explores varying aspects of yoga, allowing  you to delve deeper into your personal practice.  It can be taken as self development or used as a stepping stone for those wishing to undertake yoga teacher training.

The course covers asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, mudra and chanting.  Yoga history, yoga philosophy and developing a home practice.

Practical techniques and personal development in the context of yoga philosophy.

The course is being held at The Studio Durham House in Farnham, Surrey over 9 months.

One Sunday a month from October 2025 - June 2026.

9am - 1pm with 2.5hrs of additional home study each month.

February and May are full days (9am - 5pm)

2025 - 12 October, 9 November, 7 December

2026 - 11 January (online), 1 February, 8 March, 19 April, 17 May, 14 June

£695 course fee plus £60 BWY Registration Fee and £46 BWY Annual Membership

Taster Session - £20

Sunday 14 September 2025

10am - 1pm at The Studio Durham House

ANNA KNOWLES

Anna is a Newly Qualified British Wheel of Yoga Diploma Course Tutor (teacher trainer), BWY Foundation Course (1&2) Teacher and has trained in Yoga Nidra, Yoga for Menopause and Yoga Therapy for Restful Sleep. 

This will be Anna's sixth year delivering the Foundation Course. 

Anna has been teaching in the Hampshire & Surrey area for the last 10 years offering weekly classes, workshops, retreats & the Foundation Course.
